Jia Zhang Ke is one of my favorite working directors.
i love his work so much i ignore the fact that he shoots on digital video.
somehow he still manages to make it look beautiful.
such documentation of the changes in China is crucial i think.
plus, i am totally fascinated by Chinese history, especially the Cultural Revolution, Great Leap Forward, Mao and Zhou Enlai.

Useless is still my favorite film by him though.
