such an inspiration.

the documentary on the making of Running Fence by the Maysles brothers
is one of my favorite films. i tear up every time i watch it. the hard work of Jeanne-Claude & Christo, the community that is involved and that is created by this project reminds me of why art is important and of all the potential that it holds. the beauty of the completed fence is almost an afterthought, despite it's grandeur. it simply fades into the ocean.
